I'm Pratham Gupta, a Product & Program Management Professional from Durham, NC
Product and program management professional with 2+ years of experience across enterprise SaaS and media technology platforms. Currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management at Duke University (3.94 GPA). I bring something most candidates don't, I've run live content operations at scale for platforms serving 10 Billion+ viewers, managed end-to-end project delivery across Engineering, QA, and Broadcast teams, and built reporting and reconciliation workflows that keep complex operations running on time.

My core areas of expertise
Specialized in product management, user research, operations execution, and reporting excellence across SaaS and broadcast technology environments.
From live operations to product strategy here's my story.
My career started where most product people never go, inside the machine. As a product engineer at Prime Focus Technologies, I wasn't given a roadmap and a desk. I was handed a live broadcast platform carrying contents of Indian Premier Leaguer (IPL), the T20 World Cup, and Pro Kabaddi, watched by over 10 Billion+ cumulative viewers, and told to keep it running.
That meant being embedded at the Star Sports office every day, sitting with their producers, watching how they actually used the product, and learning exactly where it let them down. I gathered their feedback, brought it to the product team, and saw how the gap between what gets designed and what gets used creates real operational cost. That experience is why I want to work in product and operations management, I've seen both sides of the wall, and I know how to close the gap.
When a live feed anomaly threatened recording continuity during a match, I didn't escalate and wait, I worked with my management and development team to build a Python monitoring system that caught disruptions at the microsecond level before they reached production. When a critical outage hit, our team ran an 18-hour recovery effort spanning three days. I owned all stakeholder communication throughout, keeping engineers, product managers, and the Star Sports client team aligned until the platform was fully restored. The CEO recognised the team's work publicly.
I led 250+ incident resolutions, each with a documented root cause analysis. I reduced repeat failures by 30% and accelerated delivery timelines by 25%. What I learned from every one of those incidents wasn't just how to fix things faster, it was how to design products and processes that make failure harder to reach in the first place.
At Duke, I'm now building the strategic layer on top of that foundation: product management, design thinking, competitive strategy, and stakeholder communication. I've conducted user research with 60+ users, written PRDs, run competitive analyses across 15+ platforms, and defined MVP launch plans for early-stage SaaS products.
I'm a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and IBM Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner. I believe the best product decisions are made by people who deeply understand both the user and the system delivering to them. That's the combination I bring.
Product thinking rooted in delivery
I've owned product delivery from PRD to production rollback. That means I write requirements with edge cases already in mind, prioritise with real delivery risk in view, and communicate tradeoffs in terms both engineers and executives understand.
Research-driven, execution-obsessed
From structured user interviews with 60+ users at Jobz to daily producer feedback at Star Sports, I build with users in the room. I translate qualitative insight into product requirements, and I stay accountable to outcomes, not just outputs.

key projects
MVP Product Strategy — Jobz
The hardest part of early-stage product work isn't building, it's figuring out what not to build. At Jobz, I owned the discovery process before a single line of code was written. I ran structured interviews with 60+ potential users, mapped their actual workflows against what the team assumed they needed, and found significant gaps between the two. That research directly shaped the MVP scope: four core workflows, a clear positioning angle against 15+ competitors, and a prototype that let us test assumptions before committing resources. The research validated the approach and shaped the product roadmap.
Product Ownership at Scale — Prime Focus Technologies
Most product decisions happen in meeting rooms. Mine happened in a broadcast control room during live IPL matches, with producers waiting on content and no margin for error. I managed 15+ release cycles end-to-end scoping changes, coordinating QA, deploying to production, and making rollback calls in real time. Being embedded at Star Sports daily meant I had direct access to the people using the product under pressure, which made every requirement I wrote sharper and every prioritisation decision more grounded.
Two company awards recognise the outcomes: Customer Champ (2024) and Extra Punch Award (2025).
Published AI Research — IEEE Xplore
Peer-reviewed research published in IEEE Xplore on AI and machine learning applications. Writing for academic publication builds a discipline that transfers directly into product work: precise problem framing, evidence-based argument, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to a skeptical audience. That's the same skillset I bring to PRDs and roadmap presentations.
